Statement of Purpose: THE LOWRY FOUNDATION Long after construction ends, the Lowry vision will live on, thanks to the work of the Lowry Foundation. The Foundation was created in 1998 to enhance the quality of life and public spaces for the enjoyment of all citizens. It pursues projects and programs of artistic, cultural, educational, historic, recreational, and scientific value. The Foundation's work complements the efforts of the Lowry Redevelopment Authority and broadens the base of financial and volunteer support for the the enhancement of public spaces. The Foundation's projects have included celebrations of Lowry's past and future, public art and transit art to enhance public spaces, a community grant program to fund improvement projects, the restoration of the Eisenhower Chapel, and many others. The Lowry Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of public spaces within the Lowry community for the enjoyment of all Denver citizens. The Foundation Board of Directors is made up of Lowry residents and owners, city officials and other community leaders.
