“I would be lost without my palm pilot,” she says. “It helps me stay organized and make sure I’m making enough time to focus on things that are important. I’ve worked hard on putting balance into my life, and it has been a struggle. I have finally learned how to say ‘no’ to things.”
Becky grew up on Lincoln, Nebraska, one of four sisters, and she is a twin, as are her two younger sisters. Being a twin gave her a sense of deep friendship that she is thankful for. “It’s just a greater and deeper connection that I have ever had with a friend,” she says.
Her family was always active in church functions and focused on helping others who weren’t as fortunate. “I’ve had an opportunity to make money myself and you just have to give back, “ she says. “This is how you better the world and there are too many people out there who are less fortunate, and it makes me feel good to help others.”
Becky has always worked in the field of banking and moved to Denver with her then husband in the early 80’s. Balancing her kids and career keeps her pretty busy but she hopes someday to achieve her dreams of studying piano again and really honing her talents. “One of my life’s regrets, is that I didn’t stick with the piano,” she says. She’d also like to travel around the world. “I love Paris and London, but if money were no object, I’d just like to circle the globe. Oh, and be a scratch golfer, too. Although for me and my golf game, that’s a pretty big fantasy and I’m not sure I’ll ever get there.”
What are your volunteer activities? I’m currently on the Board of Jr. Achievement and have been involved with the Young American Bank and chaired their golf tournament for the past two years. I’m also involved with the Downtown Denver Partnership and used to do volunteer activities for the Colorado Academy.
Which social event is your favorite? Things that we do with our customers, like holiday parties. I love being involved with entertaining our customers because I’m new in this job, so for me, it’s a lot of fun to get to meet new customers and learn about what they do.
Favorite Restaurant: Panzano’s
Who is your hero and why? My mother, because she taught me a lot about the financial world and how to balance a career and family. She had five kids, took care of the house, and worked a full time job.
If your life were a movie, whom would you want to play your part? Meryl Streep because she can play so many different parts and always gets the accents and the role down perfectly.
Do you have any Pets? A soft-coated Wheaton terrier named Riley who is 11 years old.
When you move, what will your home tell its next owner, about you? That I’m a neat freak and I save nothing

How would you like others to describe you? Calm, easy going.
What was your first job? Cleaning motel rooms at age 13 for 70 cents a room. That sure taught me how to make a bed fast.

What or who is the greatest love of your life? My two kids; Katie, 17, and Matt, 15.
What is your current state of mind? I feel lucky because I have a great family, wonderful friends and a great job. I like to look at the positive in everything and although the economy is a bit shaky right now, everything is going to be just fine
What do you consider your greatest achievement? I have always had a great job, and I’m a pretty decent mom.
What is the quality you most admire in a man? Honesty, affection and treating me as an equal.
