Bradley grew up as the middle child of three boys in the suburbs of Denver and describes his childhood as incredible. “I really wouldn’t change a thing,” he says. “But after a few trips to NYC in high school, I knew I had to move there and leave Denver for a while.”
Thirty days after graduating from college Bradley moved to the big apple and worked in the garment industry for a small European sportswear company. Six months into his new job, he found himself on a buying trip to Paris and Hong Kong where he helped the president and head designer oversee the manufacturing and merchandising of their fall line.
But after the stock market crash in 1987, Bradley was laid off and found it increasingly difficult to sustain employment in New York. “I had 5 jobs in 9 months and realized it was just time to go. I had a dream during this time that I was living on an island in the Mediterranean so, on a whim, I gave up my apartment the next day and moved to Greece where I lived and worked and had fun for an entire year.”
After his year of fun and sun, Bradley moved back to Denver and thanks to the encouragement of owner Peggy Neusteter Beck, he took a part time job at Three Tomatoes Catering. “At first I told Peggy ‘I’ll only work for you for a year’” he said. “That was nine years ago and I’m really glad I made the decision to stay in Denver. I love the mountains, my family and friends and they are all right here. Work wise, I’ve established great contacts which makes my job a lot more interesting and fun.”
